Long live the nerds! Washington, D.C.’s Naked Girls present “Nerdettes” to prove without a doubt that nerds are sexy. Naked Girls Reading is a performance of Burlesque ladies who love to read tales of hobbits, mutants, and everything in between. Cherokee Rose will be returning to the DC Arts Center with Gigi Holliday, Cherie Sweetbottom and Alice Darling on April 26 at 10 p.m.
The brain child of Miss Exotic World Queen Michelle L’amour, Naked Girls Reading is a sensation across the United States and is rapidly developing an international following. “Beautiful women, completely naked, reading their favorite excerpts of literature” says Tagg Magazine; “Appropriately racy” according to Entertainment Weekly; and “The best thing to happen to books since they were put on tape” said Carson Daly of Last Call with Carson Daly.
Last month’s D.C. Naked Girls show, “A Night of Movies” showcased stories of vampire human love, teenage battle, and hitchhiker tales, just to name a few. May’s event will focus on classical literature.
Guests of April’s show are encouraged to dress in their best nerd themed costume for the nerdettes costume contest. The organizers are hoping you will “make sexiness your resolution and let Naked Girls Reading help you.”
