How the Ladies of LURe strengthen the D.C. community

What began as a conversation over drinks at a venue on 17th Street has become one of the most talked about social events on the Washington, D.C., lesbian calendar. Once a month, the Ladies of LURe host BARE, a women’s party that packs Cobalt time and time again, with its diverse themes, great music, and celebrity guests.
A Grass-Roots Approach to Health Care for the LGBT Citizens of Rehoboth

The Mautner Project and CAMP Rehoboth Cares have teamed up to fill a gap in the health services provided to LGBT members of the Rehoboth Beach, DE community. For over 22 years, Create A More Positive (CAMP) Rehoboth has fostered community, provided services, and planned activities for the LGBT citizens of Rehoboth. Now in conjunction with the Mautner Project, the national lesbian health organization, CAMP Rehoboth will be training volunteers through their latest collaborative effort: CAMP-Mautner Cares.
From Sept. 20 to 22, Phasefest, an annual queer music and arts festival, rocks out and celebrates its sixth year at Phase 1 Capitol Hill—the oldest, continually operating lesbian bar in the nation. The diverse entertainment comprises more than 20 acts.
