DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly social hour the third Tuesday of every month at Red Bear Brewery. You must be 18+. Friends and partners welcome. \n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nJoin the DC Area Transmasculine Society (DCATS) for social hour at Red Bear Brewing Company. \nRed Bear is a queer-owned brewery that serves food\, drinks\, and has board games. The establishment is all ages\, but our event is 18+. Friends and partners are welcome when accompanied by someone who is transmasculine. \n“Transmasculine” means you were assigned female at birth\, but feel this is an incomplete or inaccurate description of yourself. This includes trans men\, AFAB nonbinary\, two-spirit\, and genderqueer folks. \nWhen you arrive\, ask the host for the reserved tables for DCATS. The tables are indoors. Masks are required when not actively eating or drinking. You must show proof of vaccination to enter the premises. \nIf you have any questions\, please message us. \nAt the event\, we’ll be accepting binder donations and will be able to give out needles to those who are in need. However\, we will not be accepting needles in exchange. \nMore Details\nGender neutral or single-stall restrooms? Yes. \nAccessible to wheelchairs\, walkers\, and mobility aids? Yes. \nInterpreters? DESCRIPTION:Artistic Director Dietlinde Turban Maazel and the renowned Castleton Chamber Players will present the “Quintessential Mozart” Festival on Saturday\, April 22\, and Sunday\, April 23\, featuring performances of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s six string quintets—rarely performed together—plus a one-on-one conversation between New York Times best-selling food columnist and author Melissa Clark and Castleton Chamber Player cellist and podcaster Daniel Lelchuk. \nOn Saturday\, audience members will have the opportunity to meet Melissa Clark and the Chamber Players at a reception and book-signing immediately after the conversation. \nThe April 22 concert will be followed by a gala dinner in Castleton’s Great Room. \nThe April 23 concert will be preceded by a champagne brunch. \n“This is a unique opportunity to hear these six exquisite chamber pieces performed together\, which is as unusual as it is exciting\,” raves Dietlinde. “These works represent the full range of Mozart’s genius as it evolved from the first\, written when he was 17 years old\, to the last\, written in 1791\, the year he died.”\nThe Castleton Chamber Players\, led by internationally acclaimed violinist Eric Silberger and cellist Daniel Lelchuk\, will be joined by violinist Eric Gratz\, and violists Michael Klotz and Katherine Murdock to complete the quintet.
