Are you planning a romantic weekend away with your partner? Whether it is your first trip away together or you have been together for many years and have been away countless times, this will always be a special experience and one that will bring you closer together, allow you to spend quality time with one another and make new memories. So, what are a few good options for when you are looking at planning a romantic weekend away? There are many great options to consider and something for every type of couple, so here are a few ideas that will hopefully inspire you.

1. Escape to The Countryside

The countryside is always a great place for a romantic weekend, especially if you live in a busy metropolitan area. It allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, explore nature together, and enjoy some privacy. There is something special about being surrounded by natural beauty and being with your partner. You can spend your time either being active by being out and about or simply relaxing at your accommodation.

2. Spa Weekend

Another excellent option for a romantic weekend away is a spa weekend. A spa weekend is always a good idea if you are feeling tired and stressed (like most people are in 2020), but doing this with your partner is extra special and a chance for you to recharge your batteries and enjoy spending some quality time together which can sometimes be hard when you both lead busy lifestyles.

3. TV Tours

If you are the type of couple that likes nothing more than getting stuck into a good TV series, then you might want to think about a TV tour getaway. Outlander is one particularly popular TV series right now, and the Outlander filming location tours are a great way to immerse yourself in the show, learn more about how it was made and explore the stunning filming locations around Scotland – an incredibly beautify part of the world which everyone should visit at one point.

4. Road Trip

There is something special about hitting the open road with your partner, and it can be a great way to explore somewhere completely new. Of course, this is a trip not like any other, so you need to make sure that you plan it carefully, including where you will be stopping, split up the driving if possible, and find some fun things to do along the way.

5. Visit LGBTQ Popular Cities

For any couple, it might be good fun and valuable experience to visit any of the many famous LGBTQ cities. These places will immediately feel like home, and it could be an excellent chance to meet other couples on your weekend away, which is always exciting.

Every couple needs to have a weekend away together from time to time, and for couples, these are all great options. Hopefully, it will be a special weekend and allow you to create many happy new memories together.
