Brandi Carlile with Bonnie Raitt & Joni Mitchell at the 2022 GRAMMYs (via Instagram)

If you don’t already know about the singer Brandi Carlile, you’re missing out. She’s an out lesbian singer-songwriter and her performance as the Grammy Awards last night has everyone talking.

First, she walked the red carpet with her wife and they kissed and we are here for it!

She wore a suit fit for the queen she is.

Then she was introduced by absolute music legends Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt.

But her performance of her Grammy-nominated song “Right On Time” is what stole the whole show. Can we talk about the rainbow lights??

Gay Twitter went wild for her.

Of course, Brandi wasn’t the only queer person at the Grammys. Lil Nas X gave us a fashion show of incredible outfits including a bedazzled crop top in his mash-up of his songs “Dead Right Now,” “Montero (Call Me by Your Name),” and “Industry Baby” and Lady Gaga gave a jazzy performance of “Love for Sale” and “Do I Love You.” The Brothers Osborne won for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Laverne Cox, Halsey, Billy Porter, and a gaggle of the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race attended as well.

Brandi was nominated for Album of the Year, two different songs in Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance but didn’t take home any wins… EXCEPT OUR HEARTS.

Note: Including someone’s tweet in this post doesn’t make a statement about their sexual orientation.
