They exited the bar together. When they got outside, Drew pulled Aubrey around the corner and into an alley. She pushed her against the brick building and began kissing her again. She felt Aubrey push her off. She was laughing.

“What? What’s funny?” Drew said, a bit annoyed.

“Um, I don’t know, maybe this, like, weird vampire vibe you have. Pulling me into an alley, staring intensely. It’s a bit over the top.” Aubrey was still laughing.

Drew stepped back and looked her up and down, lingering on her delicate neck. Aubrey’s eyes got wide. Drew smiled.

“Okay, so what? Vampires are real? No way. What are you gonna, like, kill me and suck my blood?” Aubrey said sarcastically.

“Well, I planned to fuck your brains out first, but yeah, that’s the gist,” Drew said, mimicking the sarcasm.

Aubrey swallowed hard. “Ha. Ha. Very funny,” she said, a little desperately.

Drew glanced at her nails, conveying that the conversation bored her. “I mean, yeah, I think it’s funny, but I wouldn’t be laughing if I were you,” Drew said contentiously.

“Well… I don’t believe you!”

“Aren’t you the one who said my eyes were ‘intense’ and that I was ‘crazy’?” Drew said as she stepped closer again. She looked deep into Aubrey’s eyes.

“I mean… yes… but…” Aubrey looked scared now. Drew was pleased. She could smell the fear mixing with the delicious cotton candy sweetness.

She smiled wide, revealing her very white, pointy canines. As expected, Aubrey looked terrified.

“Good to finally meet you,” Drew quipped.

“You too,” Aubrey said, rolling her eyes and pretending as if she wasn’t scared. She was though… wasn’t she?

“Aw, play nice. This could be fun, if you’re a good girl.”

Drew gently tilted Aubrey’s head to the side and breathed in her scent, licking her lips.

Aubrey let out a little moan. “I can be a good girl,” she said, biting her lip.

Drew didn’t expect that. “Oh yeah?” Drew leaned in and Aubrey started kissing her intensely. Aubrey wrapped her arms around Drew’s waist. She pulled away and looked Drew dead in the eyes and said,

“You don’t scare me.” Then began kissing her again.

“Wait, are you, like, a Twilight girl or something? Because trust me, this is not that. I will not glitter in the sun and I definitely will not call you spider monkey,” Drew said.

Aubrey laughed hard at that. “No, I’m not a Twilight girl, but maybe I’m just a little curious…” Aubrey said in a very sexy and convincing way. Well, Drew thought, pain-in-the-ass Aubrey had a death wish. What fun!

“Okay. Let’s go back to my place,” Drew said.

Soon they were at Drew’s basement apartment. She was a vampire, after all.

“This is more colorful than I would have expected,” Aubrey deadpanned.The apartment was small, but quaint. It was warmly lit, with a bright orange couch and lots of plants. There was cool art on the walls and a huge record collection. It had a very bohemian vibe.

“Oh, sorry to disappoint. I’m sure you were expecting red and black and coffins.”

“Well, yeah, and maybe, like, some creepy cauldron or something,” Aubrey said playfully.
