In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
I am a barrage of contradictions: a people-person and a hermit; partier, disciplined martial artist; and charismatic and tongue-tied.

Your favorite hangout spots.
My favorite places are my jiu-jitsu gym, anywhere along the coast (specifically the west coast), Nellies, Cobalt, and Smith Public Trust when The Coven is hosting.

Favorite guilty pleasure.
I have two that compliment each other perfectly: Netflix binging and green tea ice cream.

Favorite quote.
Well, I have an obsession with Arrested Development, so it’s between, “There’s always money in the banana stand!” and a quote from a rather obscure book I read once called Revisions Of by Goodloe Byron. It reads as follows: “That moths are attracted to flame and have survived is proof that, thankfully, we do not always reach our destination.”

Who is your biggest influence? And why?
I would have trouble pinpointing just one influence, but for the most part, I would narrow it down to a couple of deceased painters. One of them is Toulouse Lautrec because he painted women of the night, who would not otherwise during his time have been considered a worthy subject matter. I am inspired by the fact that his muses were everyday people he encountered. I’m also an enormous fan of Frida Kahlo. She used art to survive in all senses after she was injured in a horrific bus accident, mostly painting herself because her body cast greatly restricted her perspective and left her bed-ridden for a considerable period of time. The mirror she faced served as her central inspiration.

Favorite event.
To choose just one is always difficult, but I have to give it up to The Coven. Another contender is ladies’ night at Cobalt, which I like because I get to excitedly bump into so many lesbians that I feel pleasantly surprised to see out in the very place where I met them years ago.

Do you have any regrets in life?

I regret the times I spent as a child, adolescent, and young adult worrying about and criticizing my own appearance. I’m from Southern California and my mother is a former model, so I began from a young age looking at myself through a lens that narrowly defined beauty. Now I realize that it was a waste of my time and energy to spend all those hours in front of the mirror looking for flaws.

Favorite lesbian celebrity.
Portia. I mean, I really, really love Arrested Development. There can be no other answer.

Any fun facts or anything else you want our readers to know?
I was stumped here, so I consulted a close friend. Here’s a verbatim reply: “You won’t eat croissants from 711 because you are French.”
