Women’s Wednesday offers networking and job opportunities

Join the Capital Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce as we kickoff the summer with Mega Women’s Wednesday.

This is a quarterly event designed to bring together professional women and individuals seeking to expand their sphere of influence from all across the region. Guests can network, nibble, and make great new connections. You can invite your friends, colleagues, business owners and professional contacts.

For the July Mega Women’s event, we have partnered with our friends at Center Latinx at The DC Center. The event goal is to connect members of D.C.’s Latinx and LGTBQ community with businesses that have resources, classes, workshops and opportunities to provide a great pool of resources for the Latinx community.

We look forward to bringing together these resources to educate, enlighten, and empower.

As a Chamber, we are hoping to address specific challenges that the Latinx community faces when seeking employment. Some of those challenges include: language access, immigration status, résumé prepping, job interview skills, and interview attire. It’s important for the Chamber to bring together people and resources that help with providing better solutions.

“I truly believe that we are here to bless and prosper one another. I exercise this belief in my daily interaction,” says Chamber member Louise Hay.

Mega Women’s Wednesday: Latinx Summer Soiree takes place on July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Human Rights Campaign, 1640 Rhode Island Avenue NW, Washington, D.C.
