GRAMMY®Award-winning multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and record producer, Meghan Trainor, will be one of the headliners at the 2016 Capital Pride Concert presented by HOT 99.5 PRIDE Radio. Also performing as a headliner will be award-winning vocalist, songwriter, and record producer, Charlie Puth.
Trainor began writing music and performing at an early age. In 2014, she released her hit single, “All About That Bass” and The video was a viral sensation. The song spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Her official debut album Title was released in 2015. Trainor’s music is influenced by the 50s and 60s era, and includes themes that touch upon body image and empowerment.
Last month, Trainor released her newest song “NO” from her anticipated second full-length album, “Thank You” — available everywhere on Friday, May 13, 2016. The premiere of “NO” happens just weeks after Meghan’s win at the 2016 GRAMMY® Awards, receiving the Best New Artist award.
Charlie Puth is a multi-talented, award-winning vocalist, musician, producer, and songwriter. Puth began his career as a popular YouTube personality. After he arrived in Los Angles in 2014, he was quickly signed by Atlantic Records. Puth co-wrote, co-produced, and was featured on Wiz Khalifa’s Furious 7 ballad, “See You Again,” a certified multi-platinum song, with the YouTube video reaching one billion views. In 2015, Puth released his debut studio single “Marvin Gaye,” featuring guest vocals from Meghan Trainor, which became Double Platinum.

The Capital Pride Concert will be held on Sunday, June 12, beginning at 1 p.m. on America’s Main Street, Pennsylvania Avenue. NW at 3rd Street NW, in tandem with the Capital Pride Festival presented by Live! Casino, which begins at noon.
