Capital Trans Pride will be held on Saturday, May 16, at the Reeves Municipal Center at 14th and U Streets NW in Washington, D.C. This year’s event will include workshops on a variety of issues important to the trans community, opportunities to network and socialize, along with performing and visual artists from around the trans community.
“Capital Trans Pride is an important part of the Pride celebration,” said Ryan Bos, Executive Director of the Capital Pride Alliance. “D.C.’s transgender community is an integral component of the broader LGBTA community and we are committed to making sure that Capital Pride’s programming reflects inclusion and recognition of our transgender brothers and sisters.”
A Trans Visibility Walk to Dupont Circle will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will be followed by an After Party at The Gryphon, 1337 Connecticut Ave., NW, until 7:00 p.m.
