On Friday, November 27, Chocolate City Burlesque and Cabaret (CCBC) will be returning to the stage for their annual Black Friday Show.

CCBC made its debut on Black Friday last year and has since made a name for themselves in the D.C. community. Since last year, the CCBC troupe has performed at the Capital Pride Women’s Party at Howard Theatre, Tropicalia, Busboys and Poets, the Honey Groove Festival, and other local events and venues.

The performance group is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the art of black burlesque. They represent positive, empowered images of black women all while having a good time. The organizers take pride in not only putting on a good quality show, but also giving audience members a chance to join in on the fun. The audience can expect the return of the “pudding game” and dance break music by DJ Max Powers.

This year’s show is centered on a R&B theme showcasing classics from the 1950s to present day. CCBC’s talented cast includes GiGi Holliday, Private Tails and co-producer Dainty Dandridge. Chicago based performer, Jeez Loueez, the “Powerhouse of the Midwest”, will guest star with her comedic mastery of the art of strip tease. Loueez is one of the most influential burlesque performers in the country, currently ranked 14th in 21st Century Burlesque Magazine‘s Top 50. Joining these notable entertainers will also be the Chocolate City Kitties.

CCBC’s Black Friday Show takes place November 27, 2015 at Hispanic Gala Theatre located at 3333 14th St NW, Washington, D.C. at 730 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.chocolatecityburlesque.com.
