Scene from Check It Documentary, Tagg Magazine

Dana Flor and Toby Oppenheimer have spent three years documenting the story of Washington, D.C.’s gay gang, known as Check It. Now in the last stages of editing, the directors have started an indiegogo campaign to finish the film.

The campaign is not only to complete the film, but it’s also to benefit the youths up and coming fashion line.

“We think its really important that not only the LGBTQ community in general support the film and crowd funding campaign, but in particular the Washington D.C. community, as it’s a local, untold story that deals with at-risk LGBTQ kids here that really need help,” says Flor.
