Washington, DC: LGBT BARS: Beyond Drinking There is Community

January 12, 2023 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm EST

A bar or club isn’t what you first think of when you hear the word community. The LGBT Civil Rights Movement started at the Stonewall Inn, a bar. Bars have been safe community spaces for decades. Bars and clubs serve as a space where our community can be ourselves without prosecution. That is changing. Join us to discuss what those spaces mean to us and when we lose them.
