Washington, DC, Uniting Voices: Breaking Barriers in Black Communities – National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2024

Join us for a transformative evening of collaboration as The Heir Agency and The Gathering Spot DC come together to mark National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2024. Our mission is to foster inclusivity and amplify Black voices, transcending gender, sexual orientation, and economic status, in our collective effort to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Event Highlights:

  • On-Site HIV/STI Testing: Us Helping Us, People Into Living, Inc., offers free and confidential testing throughout the day, promoting sexual health awareness.
  • Meet & Greet: MC Boom Boom Balenciaga sets the stage for networking, mingling, and exploring vendor tables before the main event.
  • Keynote Speaker Q&A: Actor, Singer & Philanthropist Miss Lawrence engages in an intimate discussion with Shawnte’ Spriggs, CEO of Impel Coaching & Consulting, LLC, addressing HIV/AIDS within the Black community and ending stigma.
  • Panel Discussion: Moderated by Terrell Parker, CEO of Black Dream Company and Terrell Talks Host, this diverse panel of experts, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, and individuals directly impacted by HIV/AIDS delve into prevention, treatment, stigma reduction, and intersectional approaches to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Black communities.
  • Cocktail Hour: After the panel discussion, join fellow attendees for enriching conversations over cocktails and refreshments.
