Out Candidate For D.C. Attorney General Talks to News Channel 8

Lateefah Williams speaks about the issues on News Talk

 

Former President of the Gertrude Stein Democratic Club, Lateefah Williams is one of five candidates running for attorney general in Washington, D.C. This is the first campaign for a District attorney general, where residents will vote. In previous years the position has been selected by the city’s mayors.

Williams is a lifelong resident of Washington, D.C. and currently resides in Ward 5. She is currently the Legislative Committee Chair for the DC Federation of Democratic Women and serves on the board for the Wanda Alston Foundation, which provides housing for homeless LGBTQ youth. Professionally, she is a legislative/public policy attorney with more than a decade of experience.

She recently spoke with Jennifer Donelan with News Talk on News Channel 8 about her background, political issues, and platform.
