In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
I’m a side hustler at heart. I’m a risk averse entrepreneur with a lot of drive and an interest in contributing to my community.
Your favorite hangout spots.
Hiking with my son in Rock Creek Park or a dark movie theater.
Favorite guilty pleasure.
Sleeping and luxury hotels. Preferably combined.
Favorite quote.
“Mommio! I think I was dreamin’ about robot crabs last night.” A quote from my son Beckett when he reported on his first memory of a dream.
Who is your biggest influence? And why?
My best friend, Frances. We found each other during our freshman year of college and we’ve been rushing toward milestones together ever since. She’s driven, creative and wildly successful but has a moral compass I’ve always admired and tried to emulate. She made serious career changes in her life and I followed suit. It’s been great to have someone with so much shared experience and momentum.
Favorite event.
If the annual Easter brunch we have at the Four Seasons with our very closest D.C. friends counts as an event, it’s certainly my favorite.
Do you have any regrets in life?
I didn’t wear enough sunscreen. I’ll regret that for years to come I’m sure.
Favorite lesbian celebrity.
Sandra Bernhard.
Any fun facts or anything else you want our readers to know?
I drive slow and I’m a big rule follower. I guess that makes me less fun.
