Whitman-Walker Health (WWH) has announced new officers for the 2014 fiscal year. Mark Edward, CPA, CGMA has been elected to serve as the new Board Chair for WWH. Thomas Bullock is the new Vice Chair, Leandra Gilliam will assume the role of Secretary and Hayes Nuss will be the new Treasurer.
“I am pleased to lead this committed team through the transition of WWH into our new medical facility later this year. As a board, we are passionate about the affirming care provided by WWH and we look forward to another successful year of being the area’s leader in service to our LGBT and broader communities as well as those living with HIV.”
Mark Edward has served on the WWH board since 2012 working on the Finance Committee, lending his expertise from 26 years of accounting and finance experience. Mark is a Principal with the regional public accounting firm, Hertzbach & Company, PA. The WWH board of directors is comprised of 17 individuals from across the community and professional disciplines, more than half of the board members are WWH clients.
“This is another landmark year for WWH, with the development of our new medical facility on 14th Street and changes coming to our Anacostia location, we are at a critical time for growth and opportunity. Having a committed and capable group of leaders is essential; they will play an integral role in our transition.
