In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
I am a “macher”. It’s a yiddish term that means a maker or person who makes things happen. I am active in the gay community as the director of THE NICE JEWISH GIRLS (nicejewishgirlsdc.com). I also run my own marketing communications firm cosynergy.com, I’m a mom, and a Girl Scout leader.
Your favorite hangout spots?
My garden. My prize roses and irises will be in bloom soon. I can’t wait to have someone to give them to.
Favorite guilty pleasure?
I love women, often, or at least as often as I can. They are beautiful, powerful, sexy, earthy and my weakness.
Favorite quote?
“Don’t mistake movement forward for progress.”
Who is your biggest influence and why?
Erma Bombeck. She told the truth to thousands of readers every week in her column. She was funny and frank. I try to be as honest and forthright in my life too.
Favorite event gig?
TWorking for Merrill Lynch as a consultant to their Executive Board.
Do you have any regrets in life?
The only regret I have is that I didn’t have more children.
Favorite lesbian celebrity?
[Rachel] Maddow…by a long shot. She has that amazing combination of shyness, frankness and brains that is just hot.
Any fun facts or anything else you want our readers to know?
People tell me that I intimidate them. I don’t really know why, I am just a big teddy bear.
