In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
Busy, a perfectionist, and usually late. (Okay, so maybe a perfectionist about everything except punctuality).

Your favorite hangout spots.
Nellie’s Sports Bar, Black Whiskey, Eat the Rich for $1 oysters after 11 p.m., Compass Coffee, El Camino, and Showtime. And, Zeba Bar on the fourth Friday of each month for glittHER of course!

Favorite guilty pleasure.
Maybe Bob’s Burgers, which I regularly try to squeeze in before homework. Facebook is also a guilty pleasure.

Favorite quote.
“There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root.” -Henry David Thoreau

This quote might sound like some Old Testament fire and brimstone, but that’s not what I get from it. I like it because it speaks to how getting to the root of an issue and making change from there is so much more effective than trying to fix or put Band-Aids on the symptoms.

Who is your biggest influence? And why?
Well, I know this is a stereotypical answer, but I have to say my parents. Both of them always believed in me and somehow molded me to be the kind of person who finds my motivation from within. [I admire] their loving relationship with each other. Their closeness with family inspires me when thinking about the family I hope to create with my fiancée Tori.

Favorite event.
glittHER, of course! The first glittHER took place at Zeba Bar in May 2013, and it has been going strong ever since.

Do you have any regrets in life?
No, not really. But I guess I sometimes wonder if I should have studied engineering or data analytics. Math has always been easier for me than writing, but for some reason I chose a career path that involves a lot more writing than math! Luckily, this “regret” is really only a curiosity. I guess I’m just destined to Google “environmental engineering degree” every few months for eternity.

Favorite lesbian celebrity. Rachel Maddow. I know everything about her. Feel free to quiz me anytime. I also may have gotten her haircut right before coming out in college.

Any fun facts or anything else you want our readers to know?
I used to be the lead singer in a cover band here in D.C. called Rando Tambo. It’s actually how my fiancée Tori and I met! I sang; she played bass.
