Viki Dee: High Energy! I love life, love what I do for a living, and I’m extremely grateful for a wonderful “fan” base. Very Italian. Family is #1. I enjoy traveling, and I love being a mother and partner.
Favorite hangout spots
La Quinta Country Club in California (when I’m there), Havana’s in NYC and, of course, the BEACH! There is a great little spot in Dewey Beach called “Que Pasa.” I can put my feet in the sand, look at the bay, while enjoying a margarita.
Favorite guilty pleasure
Coming home after a gig and nuking a bag of popcorn with melted butter, while lying in bed. YUM. When I’m REALLY hungry, I’ll boil some water and throw in my favorite penne pasta with olive oil and fresh grated romano cheese. Even more YUM!
Favorite quote
“`magine that.” At the end of my performances I say, “Now if you can’t drive home, look around and find someone really good looking who can take you there.”
Who is your biggest influence? And why?
My father, Tony Dee, who is deceased. He taught me a wealth of knowledge regarding the entertainment business. His experience was on many levels—from singing, band leader, songwriter and agent.
Favorite gig (past or present)
Working with my dad’s Big Band representing the Maryland Democratic Committee, entertaining at the Clinton Inaugural Ball. What a wonderful memory! Also, having my music exposed on cable’s Sci-Fi network and the Lifetime channel. The song is “Chance to Dream.” It’s done quite well.
Do you have any regrets in life?
Never. All of life’s experiences are an opportunity for growth. The beautiful thing that life affords us is a new day, to not repeat a bad choice so that you don’t have to learn the lesson over again.

Favorite musician and why
Tony Bennett. Besides his smooth delivery of any one ballad, he’s a classic example of what music does to your life. It brings you youth, longevity, and happiness. Truly SOUL food. Music is timeless.
What’s next for Viki Dee?
Well, I am getting ready for CD #3. It’s going to be very different from the others. Hopefully, I’ll have a late Fall release. I’m really excited about this one.
Any fun facts you want our readers to know?
I am a HOPELESS romantic. I love mimosas and Sunday brunch with my partner on the beach. My bird, Sunshine, will be 23 on September 9th. She’s been around longer than both of my exes. I am a HUGE supporter of The Mautner Project and make sure I am part of any fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Research and finding a cure. Last but not least, come and join me here at the beach. My music will get you ready for bed, but won’t put you to sleep.
