Pride Month might officially be over, but queer love is forever. That’s the message Bratz sent fans with an early July social media post celebrating their two sapphic dolls.
The brand—known for their diverse line of large-headed, big-eyed, fashion-forward Y2K baddies dolls—posted a video featuring dolls Roxxi and Nevra on a date. The video opens on Roxxi and Nevra holding hands on a heart colored to look like the lesbian flag. We then see the two carrying balloons with their initials, Nevra applying Roxxi’s lipstick, and the couple taking a sweet selfie as they picnic together.
They kiss twice in the 23-second video, leaving no room for misinterpretation of their romantic relationship.

While corporate “rainbow washing” has always been an issue around Pride, Bratz stands out for their year-round celebration of queer love. Roxxi and Nevra have officially been a couple since 2020, and Bratz consistently shares glimpses into their relationship on various social channels.
In 2021, Roxxi and Nevra celebrated National Cuddle Up Day in January, Pride in July, and National Coming Out Day in October. The next year, fellow Bratz doll Meygan used her love meter to rate them a “real life Juliet & Juliet.” And in 2024, the couple’s love story is featured in an instagram post where we learn that Nevra was originally a fan of Roxxi’s band, Crash.

The two were even featured in an exclusive Pride Collection in 2022. Fans could buy both dolls in a two-pack with rainbow outfits designed by LGBTQ+ designer JimmyPaul. MGA Cares, (the charitable arm of MGA Entertainment, who owns Bratz), donated $25,000 to The Trevor Project as part of the campaign.

It’s fitting that a brand built on self-expression and authenticity would support LGBTQ+ identities. In March of 2022, Bratz continued their support of the community when they teamed up with Ve’ondre Mitchell, a trans influencer and recording artist, to create her likeness as a digital Bratz doll for Women’s History Month. They also interviewed Mitchell for their Girl Talk series.

Bratz isn’t new to LGBTQ+ support, so there’s hope for more LGBTQ+ representation in the Bratz universe in the future. At a time when anti-trans laws are proposed and enacted constantly, a trans doll could potentially make a huge impact on trans kids and Bratz fans. While there’s no word on one yet, we can definitely hope!
