You’ve probably heard mention of Project 2025. But what is it? And exactly how will it impact you, your friends, and the rest of the LGBTQ+ community if it comes to pass?
As we all start casting our ballots in one of the closest elections of our lifetimes, it’s important to get all of the facts. Tagg Magazine and our friends in the News Is Out collaborative (Bay Area Reporter, Dallas Voice, Philadelphia Gay News, Washington Blade, and Windy City Times) will host a virtual discussion examining this conservative playbook on October 23rd from 3pm – 5pm PST/4pm – 6pm CST/6pm – 8pm EST.
Special guests—including Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta (PA), Commissioner Precious Brady-Davis, Charlotte Clymer, Kevin Jennings (Lambda Legal), Janelle Perez (LPAC), Rep. Julie Johnson (TX), and Allen Morris (National LGBTQ Task Force Action Fund)—will help us break down what Project 2025 proposes and the concrete ways these changes would impact LGBTQ+ communities.
Moderators Chris Kane (Washington Blade White House Reporter) and Dana Piccoli (Managing Director of News is Out) will guide viewers and guests on a two hour conversation about Project 2025, its plans for reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, climate and more.
The event will take place on the News Is Out Facebook, Youtube or Instagram live pages. Want to be reminded? Fill out this registration form for email notifications.
