Discrimination persists within the “whatever generation”

With the growing acceptance of the gay and lesbian community in the United States today, bisexuals still remain the target for stereotypes.
The District of Columbia is at the forefront of many LGBT issues. We have taken great strides forward to end discrimination based on sexual orientation in the areas of marriage, legal rights, and military service.
By the time I graduated high school, I earned an A in Haters 101. I was never born with that inner desire to fit the mold, so I was largely accustomed to the haterade the cool kids threw at me as I walked by in my JNCO jeans and black lipstick.
This week I’ve decided to write about my two favorite things: Facebook and lesbians. Both consume my daily thoughts, deeply affect my day-to-day life, and come packed with more drama and irony than your favorite Shakespearean tragedy.
