Name: Char Bailey
City, State: London, UK
Age: Already started lying about it
Profession: Writer, host, campaigner, pride director

In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
A happy, silly, laid back book worm who likes sports, dogs, sunsets, and hugging trees.

Your favorite hangout spots.
The common counter queer book shop in London for a chilled day and I’m still not over the night I had at the FUSE: Womxn’s Pride Party in Washington, D.C.

Favorite guilty pleasure.
Taylor Swift

Favorite quote.
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”- Maya Angelou

Who is your biggest influence? And why?
I got it from my momma. She showed me that no matter what you go through in life you can still show up with
kindness, compassion, and love.

Favorite event.
UK Black Pride, the largest gathering of queer people of color. I’ve volunteered as the education and inclusion
officer for six years. There’s nothing like queer Black and Brown joy!

Do you have any regrets in life?
No regrets, but an apology to the people I tried to love before I learned to love myself.

Favorite lesbian/queer celebrity.
My girlfriend Megan Jayne Crabbe.

Any fun facts or anything else you want our readers to know?
I have autism and ADHD and my life is beautiful. I just want people to know that those labels that people try to use to keep you down, can also be the ones that lift you up.
