After eight months of dating, Canadian actress Ellen Page introduced her artist girlfriend Samantha Thomas at the Toronto International Film Festival. The September 13 event marked the couple’s public debut. Page was at the film festival to promote her her new film, Freeheld, in which she stars opposite Julian Moore as a lesbian couple fighting for domestic partner benefits. The actress came out last year after her experience filming Freeheld.
“I’m in love. Walking down the red carpet holding my girlfriend’s hand is pretty special. It’s pretty awesome.” Page told E! on the red carpet.
