Frenchie Davis is taking her cabaret show to Cozumel, Mexico, joining Sweet at the Cozumel Palace Resort May 11-18, 2014.
Davis is best known for her appearance on Season 2 of NBC’s “The Voice” where she wowed audiences with renditions of “I Kissed A Girl,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it),” “When Love Takes Over,” and “Like a Prayer,” performances that landed her as an Elite 8 finalist for Team Christina Aguilera. Davis is also an accomplished stage performer who was featured in the Broadway cast of “Rent,” where she soloed in the show’s signature tune “Seasons of Love.” Davis later starred in the role of Effie White in “Dream Girls.”
In addition to her cabaret performance, Davis will offer Sweet guests the opportunity to duet with her during poolside karaoke and host a meet-and-greet happy hour.
“We’re extremely excited to have Frenchie join us in Cozumel,” Sweet CEO Shannon Wentworth said. “She’s a role model for positivity and a very talented performer.”
Davis will be joined in Cozumel by Kathryn Lounsbery, half of the musical comedy duo That’s What She Said, who will be performing her one-woman show, and stand-up comedians Shann Carr and Jennie McNulty.
