In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
I love to laugh but I’m often too serious. If you have a problem, I want to fix it. I have an amazing wife and five rescues (two cats and three dogs). I am a sister, aunt, daughter, grand-daughter, friend, agent, boss, co-worker, and athlete.

Your favorite hangout spots.
On the water! Whether it is boating or water skiing, walking on the beach or having dinner at lake, or a river or beach side restaurant, I love being around water. Hank’s Oyster Bar is a favorite along with several Rehoboth Beach locations.

Favorite quote.
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” —Bernard M. Baruch

Who is your biggest influence? And why?
This is a hard one. So many people have influenced my life and made me who I am. My mom was a State Farm agent, and I’ve always tried to live up to the image she set. However, her father was the leader of the State Farm agents in our family (there are 10 of us so far). My dad deserves much of the credit for the person I am today. He has taught me so many things and has always been there for me. My grandmother was my best friend and gave me much of my confidence because of her love and devotion to me.

Favorite event.
Too many to name, but I love family and friend gatherings and Wolf Trap events.

Do you have any regrets in life?
I wish I had more time with my mom. She passed away when I was 24, and I didn’t make it home to say goodbye.

Favorite lesbian celebrity.
Tough one! Either Ellen DeGeneres or Martina Navratilova.

Any fun facts or anything else you want our readers to know?
I use to write poems as a kid and was once published. Don’t go looking for it…it was terrible!
