Local advocate and poet shares her poem “Dandelion” at Sheores of the Movement
Clinton, MD resident Mary E. Bowman recently received the Sheroes of the Movement Award from the Mayor’s Office of LGBT Affairs. The event was held on March 19 at the Human Rights Campaign. Bowman was recognized for her work as an Advocacy Associate at The Women’s Collective, working with women living with HIV/AIDS.
After receiving her award, she shared her popular “Dandelion” poem with guests.
