Provincetown’s newly opened LGBTQ bookstore is set to host a stellar event with a chockablock lineup of queer authors in celebration of Independent Bookstore Day.

East End Books Ptown may have only open its doors a few months ago, but it is already becoming a hub of activity for the LGBTQ community in Provincetown with regular events and visiting authors.

This Independent Bookstore Day (April 29), they plan to pull out all stops with a several readings, book signings and sale special merchandise for all ages.

With a list of authors which continues to expand, they have confirmed the following authors thus far:

  • Jeannette de Beauvoir, reading from her new book “Our Lady of the Dunes”
  • Julia Salinger, reading from her book of Poetry “When I Awoke” and displaying some of her artwork
  • Neil Silberblatt (Poet’s Corner – WOMR), reading from his collection of poems
  • Susan Baker, author of “Ptown Dogs”, “Proust,” “Tick ABC”
  • Tricia Cohen and Lisa Graves, reading from their new cookbook “A Thyme and Place”

All books will be available for purchase and there will also be special books and merchandise available for purchase on this special day.
