Tagg Magazine - Ravens Night at Birchmere
Metro D.C.’s most unique, hedonistic, and artistic Halloween event, ushers in the season on October 18 at The Birchmere. Now in it’s third year, Raven’s Night is a sensational modern take on the traditional masquerade ball.

This year’s theme is Sci-Fi Phantasm, which includes three distinct events woven into one: mesmerizing world-class dance performances at Cabaret Melancholia; a dinner concert featuring live music at Salon Lunaire; and a pre-show event combining an alternative World’s Fair-styled exposition and sideshow including the magic of Eric Henning, sideshow performances by Charlie Artful and Tarot card reading at the All Hallow’s Eve Exposition.

Co-Producers Belladonna and Ken Vegas continue to explore new dimensions in imaginative and forward-thinking macabre entertainment. This year’s event promises to erase any boundaries between fantasy, science fiction, and reality. Guests might be likely to rub shoulders with Darth Vader, Spock, Robbie The Robot, Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, or the green belly dancer who entranced Captain James Kirk.

This year’s performers include Belladonna (D.C.), Princess Farhana (CA), Shahrzad (MD), and Silvia Salamanca (TX), just to name a few.
