A daughter and father recently shared their transition journey with ABC News.
At an early age, Corey Maison, who is now 15, started her hormone treatment to become female. After watching her daughter find her truth, Eric Maison, 39, was inspired to transition from female to male.
Eric Maison told ABC News, “Corey’s bravery definitely inspired me to come out as transgender,” said Maison, a resident of Detroit, Michigan. “To see how courageous she is, despite all of the cruelty the world shows her at times, makes me so proud. I thought, ‘If she can do this, so can I.'”
