September 12, 2014

Local lesbians’ homes reflect their stories and styles

Tagg Magazine Sept/Oct 2014 Cover
What do a condo, a three-level row house, and an apartment have in common? All are residential spaces that serve as blank canvases for expressing your creativity and design aesthetic.

Our feature article focuses on a few local lesbians and how and each woman’s story and vision influenced her décor decisions. From bold color schemes and Afrocentric artwork, to multifunctional components, to the fusion of eclectic collectibles, the three dwellings clearly embody the unique personalities of their residents.

June Crenshaw; Kimberly Sperber and her fiancée, Erica Velasquez; and Chris Svoboda have put much thought into the space where they spend the most time: home sweet home. And, all of them have graciously opened their doors to Tagg, to give us a glimpse into their sense of style. Let’s meet them and take a private tour.
