The Best LGBTQ-Friendly Beach Destinations For Families

Parent and child on beach

Summer is here, and what better way to celebrate the hot weather than by going on a holiday? This year, travel experts say that LGBTQ tourists will lead the way towards tourism recovery, as they travel and spend more whenever they’re on vacation. The segment has also demonstrated a strong affinity for beach destinations, especially those that have an inclusive atmosphere for LGBTQ families. If you’re going on a vacation with your children, pack your designer belt bag and check out these LGBTQ-friendly beach destinations for families.

Hard Rock Hotel, Dominican Republic

Before heading to any beach destination, it’s important to be properly prepared to maximize your holiday fun and prevent any untoward incidents during your stay. Make sure to supervise your children while they’re in the water, as lack of close supervision is one of the main causes of accidental drowning. Also, if you’re planning to participate in water sports, it’s a good idea to improve your swimming skills so you can safely make your way to a boat or to the shore in case you fall in the water.

For LGBTQ families who love rock music, there’s no better place than the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The all-inclusive resort offers tons of activities for children, and they can participate in arts and crafts, talent shows, karaoke, a treasure hunt, and pool parties, among other activities. Meanwhile, adults can dine in any of the nine restaurants on the resort, take part in meditation and fitness programs, or have soothing treatments at the Sound Body spa.

Azul Beach Hotel, Cancun, Mexico

This boutique beach resort offers a luxurious getaway experience for LGBTQ families who want to go on an active holiday this summer. The spacious suites can accommodate parents and up to three children under 12, and there are lots of activities that will appeal to both grownups and kids. Adults can do morning yoga at the beach, take mixology classes or Spanish lessons, go kayaking or scuba diving, or join a Zumba class. Meanwhile, young children can spend the day at the Azulitos playhouse, where trained professionals are ready to encourage play. Teens can hang out at the Extreme Breeze Teens lounge, where they can play ping pong, billiards, and air hockey, and participate in outdoor activities like archery and volleyball.

Spice Island Resort, Grenada

This all-inclusive family-friendly resort has luxurious rooms and suites, and each suite has a private pool and sauna. This resort has everything you want for a relaxing stay, including beachfront gourmet dining and drinks, and open-air beachside yoga, as well as various treatments at their luxury spa. They also offer a full-day children’s activity program for kids ages 3 to 12 so that your children can have fun while you participate in recreational activities such as scuba diving, sailing, tennis and golf.

This summer, check out these all-inclusive beach destinations with your family. You’re sure to have a wonderful time while you relax and recharge with the ones you love.
