In a few words, how would you describe yourself?
I am passionate, yet reserved. I advocate fiercely for my beliefs, but tend to be very low-key when not in an advocacy setting.

Your favorite hangout spots.
In a café, lounge, or the home of a small group of close friends.

Favorite guilty pleasure.
Snacking while binge watching television on a lazy weekend.

Favorite quote.
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” -Eleanor Roosevelt

Who is your biggest influence? And why?
My parents are my biggest influence. They support me unconditionally and I am inspired by how hard they worked to overcome their humble beginnings. They spent their careers in public service and their example is the primary reason that I believe public service is a noble calling.

Favorite event.
The D.C. community festivals that occur in the late summer and early fall of each year, such as the H Street Festival and the Adams Morgan Festival.

Do you have any regrets in life?
Prior to running for DC Attorney General, I could have probably given you a lengthy list. However, this race has given me new perspective and I now believe that prior mistakes were life lessons that got me to the point where I am today.

Favorite lesbian celebrity.
Wanda Sykes

Any fun facts or anything else you want our readers to know?
I was a contestant on Wheel of Fortune in 2000.
