Leigh and Ellie sit down with lesbian bar experts Sarah Gabrielli and Rachel Karp , the hosts of Cruising Podcast, to chat about why Cheers Should’ve Been Gay. Like a lot of older TV shows, Cheers did not age well and is incredibly problematic, but everything gets better when you rewatch it under a queer lens. Cheers was pretty progressive for the 80s, but we think we could easily improve it by creating Queers, the queer version of Cheers. We really want to live in the alternate universe where Cheers is a lesbian bar. We can all agree, Cheers Should’ve Been Gay.
