Names: Heather Krohn and Maggie Wolfe
Ages: Heather, 40; Maggie, 27
Professions: Heather is a Virtual Inside Sales Representative for Pearson Education and Maggie is the Lead Coordinator for Blue Dot of Maryland
City, State: Parkville, MD
Date of Wedding: April 5, 2014
The Big Day: The wedding is being held at The Bel Air Moose Lodge in Forest Hill, MD. The overall theme of our big day is fun because that’s what we want everyone to do; have fun celebrating our love! We didn’t want all the craziness of a big, extravagant wedding, since we are paying the majority of it ourselves. Also, big weddings aren’t really us anyway, so we are keeping it pretty simple. I think our guests are hoping for a little bit of fun based on our very festive RSVP cards. I think our favorite aspect of the wedding is honestly finally just getting to that moment, standing there before our family and friends, just the two of us, and making what we’ve waited so long for to become official…and legal! Thank you, Maryland!
The Firsts:
First meeting: Friday, Sept 7, 2012 playing softball in Kingsville, MD
First date: Saturday, Sept 22, 2012 at Hightopps Backstage Grille in Timonium, MD to see a friend (Sabrina) perform live.
First kiss: Thursday, Sept 20, 2012
When They Knew: It was the day of our first kiss on September 20, 2012. Maggie came over to see Heather because she was having a tough night. Heather met her out on the front stoop, pulled her close to hold her tight, and kissed her. It was at that moment we both knew that we had truly found something special.
The Proposal: It was on a little bridge at Silver Lake Pond on Long Island, NY, a favorite spot while Heather was growing up. It was a beautiful winter morning, where Heather got down on one knee, nervous beyond belief, but knowing the woman she’d been waiting for all her life was standing right there in front of her, and she asked Maggie to marry her. It was at that moment, on December 23, 2012 that Maggie said yes and made Heather happier than she’s ever been.
The Ring(s): Maggie’s ring is very sparkly and beautiful, just like she is, and Heather’s ring is more understated, but with just enough shine to be noticeable, just like her.
Honeymoon: Unfortunately with two busy schedules and a seven-year-old, taking time out for a honeymoon is tough. We’ve decided that we are going to make our adventure down to Dover, DE in June for the Firefly Music Festival. This will be our honeymoon as we will be camping out (without our son) for a few days, and enjoying some incredible music, which is something that means a lot to the both of us.
Looking into the Future: Once all the craziness is over and done with, we are looking forward to adding on to our home and family. We are so excited about future plans for renovations to our house. We are also hoping to add to our family in the not too distant future.
